Privacy Policy

1. Overview

MemePixel is built on a privacy-first principle: we collect the minimum data required to operate the service, we never sell your data, and your images are never stored. This policy explains exactly what we hold and why.

2. What Data We Collect

We store the following information, keyed to your Discord user ID:

• Your Discord user ID (account identifier — we never see your username or email unless you contact us)
• Membership tier: Free, Pixel Pass, or Pixel Pro
• Quota counters: standard uses, Ultra uses, and daily watermarked uses
• The date of your first use (for Welcome Pack tracking)
• Subscription status (active / cancelled / expired) synced from LemonSqueezy
• Daily reset date (UTC) used to refresh your free watermarked quota

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• Uploaded photos — images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after generation
• Generated GIFs — deleted from our servers after delivery to Discord
• Your real name, email address, or any PII beyond your Discord ID
• Prompt content (action / style descriptions) stored long-term
• Payment card details — handled entirely by LemonSqueezy
• Your images are never used to train AI models

4. Third-Party Services

• Discord — our service runs on the Discord platform. Discord's own Privacy Policy governs their data handling.
• Google Vertex AI (Gemini) — your image and a text prompt are sent to Vertex AI to generate the pixel art output. Google's data processing terms apply to this interaction. Images are not retained by Google for training under our API agreement.
• LemonSqueezy — subscription payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, who collects billing information (card details, email) necessary for the transaction. We receive only a webhook confirming your plan and subscription ID — we never see your payment details.

5. How We Use Your Data

• Tracking quota usage and enforcing plan limits
• Identifying your membership tier to enable or restrict features
• Processing subscription renewals and cancellations via LemonSqueezy webhooks
• Enforcing our Content Policy and detecting abuse patterns

6. Data Retention

Your account record is retained while you have an active or recently active account. If you cancel your subscription and have not used the bot for more than 12 months, your record may be automatically deleted. You may request early deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

Account data is stored in a secured database on a server with restricted access. We do not transmit your Discord ID or quota data to any third party except as described in Section 4. Subscription events arrive via HMAC-signed webhooks from LemonSqueezy and are verified before processing.

8. Your Rights (EU / EEA / UK)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the following rights under GDPR / UK GDPR:

• Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your account data
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests

9. Children's Privacy

MemePixel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used our service, please contact us and we will delete their data promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
