Terms of Service

1. Who We Are
MemePixel ("we", "us", "our") is a Discord bot service that converts user-uploaded photos into animated pixel sprite GIFs using AI image generation. By using the /pixel or /pixel-ultra commands, or by subscribing to a plan, you agree to these Terms.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use MemePixel. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. By using the service, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Acceptable Use — What You Can Upload
You may upload photos of yourself or people you have permission to use, public figures for non-commercial parody or fan art purposes, and fictional characters, artwork, or non-human subjects.
You may NOT upload images that contain:
- Nudity or sexually explicit content
- Graphic violence, gore, or self-harm imagery
- Hate symbols, extremist imagery, or content targeting individuals for harassment
- Content that sexualizes minors — zero tolerance; will be reported to the appropriate authorities
- Images of individuals without their consent where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists
- Content that violates third-party copyright or intellectual property rights
We use automated content moderation to screen all uploads. Violations may result in immediate account suspension without a refund.
4. Your Content & Our License
You retain ownership of any photos you upload. By using MemePixel, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your image solely for the purpose of generating the requested pixel art output. We do not store your uploaded photos beyond the duration of a single request. We do not use your images to train AI models.
The AI-generated pixel art output is yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use of outputs (e.g. selling merchandise) requires our written permission.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Subscriptions are managed entirely inside our Discord server via the /subscribe command. Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you agree to LemonSqueezy's terms in addition to ours.
- Billing: Subscriptions bill monthly and renew automatically on the same date each month until cancelled.
- Cancellation: Cancel any time from Discord. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds.
- Refunds: We do not refund quota that has already been used. If a technical failure on our end causes an error instead of a GIF, the generation is not counted against your quota.
- Price changes: We will give at least 14 days' notice before changing subscription prices.

Unused monthly quota does not roll over. We reserve the right to adjust quotas with reasonable notice.
7. Service Availability
MemePixel is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for AI generation failures, Discord platform outages, or temporary interruptions for maintenance.
8. Intellectual Property
"MemePixel" and the memepixel.me brand are our intellectual property. The watermark on free-tier outputs ("memepixel.me") may not be removed or obscured. AI-generated outputs may incidentally resemble existing pixel art styles; we do not claim our outputs constitute original authorship under copyright law in all jurisdictions.
9. Prohibited Actions
- Circumventing quota limits through automation, scripting, or account duplication
- Reverse engineering, scraping, or reselling the bot's API
- Using the service to generate content intended to harass, defame, or harm specific individuals
- Sharing subscription credentials with others
10. Enforcement & Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms without prior notice or refund. For borderline cases, we will attempt to warn before suspending.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post a notice in the Discord server and update the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
